You have 30 days from your date of hire to enroll in your Nutanix health and insurance benefits.
Once enrolled, it will take up to five business days for your information to be captured in the various carrier systems. At that time, you can access your account online, print or save temporary cards, and access providers.
If you enroll in the UnitedHealthcare HDHP with HSA plan, your Health Savings Account (HSA) will be automatically set up on the first of the month following your hire date and enrollment. You will be required to then validate your account with HealthEquity to complete the setup. After your account is established, it will be funded by Nutanix. Delays in validating the account can delay funding.
If you don’t enroll during this 30-day window, you will be automatically enrolled in the following benefits:
Your next opportunity to enroll in benefits will be during our annual Open Enrollment, typically held each year in the fall, unless you experience a qualifying life event during the year.
To see a summary of your benefits elections, log into Workday:
Be sure to determine how much you want to contribute to the Nutanix 401(k) Plan through payroll deductions. You’re immediately eligible to participate in the plan. After your first paycheck, visit the Fidelity website to make your contribution elections. Your contributions will take one to two pay periods to show up in your paycheck. If you don’t select a contribution rate within your first 45 days of eligibility (typically your hire date), you’ll be automatically enrolled at a 2% pretax contribution rate. You may choose to change your contribution rate and investment elections at any time.
You can easily enroll in the Nutanix 401(k) Plan and manage your account online or by phone:
Make sure to provide beneficiary information for your Nutanix 401(k) Plan account. Log in to your account on the Fidelity website. Then navigate to “Accounts & Benefits” and click “Update” to review your beneficiaries and make updates.
Log in to Workday, and follow the enrollment instructions to make your 2023 benefit elections. Remember, full-time employees who don’t enroll in medical coverage within 30 days of their hire date or when they first become eligible will automatically be enrolled in certain benefits through 2023.
You’re able to opt out of medical coverage if you have other minimum essential coverage. When you opt out, you will receive a $200 per month credit ($92.30 biweekly). Nutanix follows the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) notice on how opt-out credits impact the affordability of employer-sponsored health coverage.
Minimum essential coverage is generally other employer-sponsored group medical plan coverage. By opting out of medical coverage provided by Nutanix, you’re required to provide proof of your enrollment in other minimum essential coverage. During the enrollment process, you will be required to attach documentation of your coverage, which includes your name, coverage period start date, and active status. Typically, this documentation can be found on your insurance provider website under view/print member ID.
Please note:
Once reviewed and approved, you will receive your opt-out credits on a go-forward basis each paycheck. This credit does not apply when opting out of dental or vision coverage.
