You have 30 days from your date of hire to enroll in your Nutanix health and insurance benefits.
Once enrolled, it will take up to five business days for your information to be captured in the various insurance provider systems. At that time, you can access your accounts online, print or save temporary cards, and access providers.
If you enroll in the UHC CDHP – HSA, your Health Savings Account (HSA) will be automatically set up on the first of the month following your enrollment. You’ll be required to then validate your account with HealthEquity to complete the setup (contributions are held until it’s validated).
If you don’t enroll during the 30-day window following your hire date, you'll be automatically enrolled in the following benefits:
Your next opportunity to enroll in benefits will be during our annual Open Enrollment, typically held each year in the fall, unless you experience a qualifying life event during the year.
To see a summary of your benefits elections, log into Workday:
When you first enroll in benefits, or during Open Enrollment each year, you choose whether your STD benefit is taxable or non-taxable. Here’s how each option works:
If you don’t make an STD tax choice, you’ll be automatically enrolled in Option 2 in Workday. If you don’t want this option, you must actively elect Option 1.
After your first paycheck, you’re eligible to participate in the Nutanix 401(k) Plan. Visit the Fidelity website to make your contribution elections. Your contributions will take one to two pay periods to show up in your paycheck. If you don’t select a contribution rate within your first 45 days of eligibility (typically 45 days after your hire date), you’ll be automatically enrolled at a 2% pre-tax contribution rate, invested in a target date investment fund. You may change your contribution rate and investment elections at any time.
You can easily enroll in the Nutanix 401(k) Plan and manage your account online or by phone:
Make sure to provide beneficiary information for your Nutanix 401(k) Plan account. Log in to your account on the Fidelity website. Then navigate to “Accounts & Benefits” and click “Update” to review your beneficiaries and make updates.
Log in to Workday, and follow the enrollment instructions to make your 2024 benefit elections.
You’re able to opt out of medical coverage if you have other minimum essential coverage. When you opt out, you'll receive an opt-out credit of $92.31 per biweekly paycheck. Nutanix follows the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) notice on how opt-out credits impact the affordability of employer-sponsored health coverage.
When opting out of medical coverage provided by Nutanix, you must provide proof of your current enrollment in other minimum essential coverage. Minimum essential coverage is generally other employer-sponsored group medical plan coverage. During the enrollment process, you'll be required to attach documentation of your coverage, which includes your name, coverage period start date, and active status. Typically, this documentation can be found on your insurance provider website under view/print member ID.
Please note: If you can’t provide reasonable evidence that you’re enrolled in minimum essential coverage, you must enroll in a Nutanix medical plan. (Keep in mind, the cost to cover yourself only on a Nutanix medical plan is provided at no cost to you.)
Once reviewed and approved, you'll receive your opt-out credits on a go-forward basis each paycheck. This credit does not apply when opting out of dental or vision coverage.
