Crisis Prevention/Suicide Hotline

If you or your loved ones live with a mental health condition that could put your or their health or life at risk, be sure to use these free and confidential resources available 24/7:

  • The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: Call 800-273-8255, or text “Home” to 741741 to access the Crisis Text Line.
  • The National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI): Call 800-950-6264 or text 741741.

EAP: Counseling

Everyone needs a little help now and then. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP), provided by Concern, is there to support you and your family 24/7. Get assistance from qualified life coaches to handle everyday challenges, build resilience, and reduce stress. Whether you need immediate help, ongoing help, or ideas for staying well, Concern is there for you.

Concern offers in-person or virtual sessions to help with your or your loved ones’ mental health. You get up to six visits per issue, per year. Your spouse/domestic partner and each of your dependent children (up to age 26) also gets up to six visits per issue, per year. This support is always 100% confidential and is provided at no cost to you. You are also able to continue your care beyond six visits through your health plan.

EAP: eM Life

eM Life is an online program from eMindful to help you tackle stress, ease worries or fears, and build resilience through mindfulness. Build skills to help you better manage everyday stressors, chronic pain, sleep, weight, balance, and your overall wellbeing. Programs are taught by certified experts on a variety of mindfulness-inspired topics. Programs include:

  • Live, expert-led, online mindfulness sessions offered multiple times a day
  • Hundreds of hours of on-demand content on a variety of topics
  • Specialized programs for groups such as veterans and leaders
  • Daily mindfulness topics

You can also practice mindfulness with eM Life’s library of 14-minute videos. These on-demand videos are easy to fit into your schedule.

Get started

eM Life is provided through Concern, our EAP provider:

  1. Go to the Concern website (access code: nutanix) to register and create a login.
  2. Once logged in, access eM Life under the “Self-Help” menu.
  3. Select “More Programs” under “Guided Mindfulness Programs.” This will directly link you to the eM Life site.
  4. Once at eM Life, you’ll be able to customize the programs to match your needs and get started.

Ginger

We can all use support for our mental health on occasion. For example, want help managing your anxiety or getting better sleep? Ginger provides coaches who offer day-to-day support for life’s challenges. There’s no need to wait for an appointment. Get immediate, real-time support via text from a qualified behavioral health coach day or night, 24/7, 365 days a year. Your dependents who are age 18+ are able to participate as well!

You also have access to resources to help you practice life skills like managing anxiety and reducing stress. The personalized, interactive content is accessible anytime and supports the work you do during sessions with your coach.

RethinkCare

RethinkCare is an award-winning platform that specializes in helping parents care for children of any age with learning, social, or behavioral challenges, as well as developmental disabilities. With RethinkCare, you have access to live virtual consultations with behavioral health experts, plus a wide range of resources to best support your child in reaching their potential—all at no cost to you! If you’re enrolled in the UnitedHealthcare HDHP with HSA or UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus plan, you can use the Talkspace app for free. Talkspace allows you to get online emotional support from a licensed therapist from the convenience of your own home. You can have your therapy sessions via video chat, text messaging, or phone. UHC: Sanvello

If you’re enrolled in the UnitedHealthcare HDHP with HSA or UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus plan, you can use the Sanvello app for free. Sanvello is a mental telehealth mobile app that uses the clinically backed principles of cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness meditation to help users with anxiety, depression, and stress. Sanvello’s self-care content includes daily mood tracking, coping tools, guided journeys, weekly check-ins, and peer community support.

Visit Sanvello or get the app from the App Store or Google Play to get started. When you create your account, choose “Upgrade through insurance,” search for and select “UnitedHealthcare,” and enter your plan information to upgrade to Premium at no extra cost.

Kaiser: myStrength

Kaiser Permanente HMO members can use the myStrength app for free. myStrength provides a flexible and comprehensive digital program with proven tools and dedicated support for stress, depression, sleep, and more.
