Review Leave of Absence Program

When you welcome a new child to the family, you can take time away from work for maternity or parental leave. Take the following steps to ensure a smooth transition for your leave and return to work:

  • Review Nutanix’s information about your options and details of the Leave of Absence Program.
  • Contact loa@nutanix.com for any leave of absence questions.
  • Notify your manager about your time off or leave.
  • Contact Prudential at 877-367-7781 to request a leave of absence and apply for Short-Term Disability benefits.

Adding to Benefits

To add your new child to your Nutanix benefits, follow these instructions and make your changes in Workday. You must add your new child to your benefits within 60 days of the birth, date of adoption, or start of foster care.

When making these changes, you may also want to update your voluntary life insurance coverage to protect your family’s financial security in case the unexpected happens.

Please note!

Don’t forget to get a Social Security number for the new addition to your family! While you don’t need a Social Security number to enroll your new family member for benefits, you’ll need it for tax purposes related to your benefits.

Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account

Consider contributing pre-tax dollars to a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA). You can use this account to pay for eligible dependent care expenses that are necessary for you and/or your spouse to work, look for work, or attend school full time. Eligible expenses may include child day care (under the age of 13) or home care for tax-dependent adults. Learn more about the Dependent Care FSA and review eligible expenses—such as pre-school, day camp, after school programs, and more.
